British Culinary Tourism - The Media Message

Today the tourism, and culinary bonanza from the 2012 Olympic Games needs to be the focus of planning throughout the UK.

We have started to enter the era of "Baby Boomers" looking for quality leisure experiences, and as we come out of the Recession the pent up demand for the finer tourist destinations should result in British destinations upgrading their service, branding and facilities to take advantage of the Olympics, and the 400 million Boomers looking for leisure experiences.

This opportunity is too important to miss!

The Branding of British Cheese

Artisan Cheese is one of my passions, along with the rest of naturally produced traditional artisan foods. We have been producing quality food for thousands of years, and thriving. Today we have industrialized production along with food allergies, behavior problems, and learning deficiencies.

The Artisan Cheese makers of Britain have been producing their cheese for hundreds of years, and the products have been copied worldwide. Cheddar Cheese, once produced around the Cheddar Gorge is today produced in virtually every country, and in the US tons of the cheese are sold weekly in every supermarket and store. Taste Britain looks at the many cheeses from Britain that are available in the United States, and how they fit into the American lifestyle.
